Multiple reasons, but the most important one is that I have achieved my original goal of determining the best MPE hardware synthesizer(s) and controller(s) for myself utilizing these comprehensive lists, so I need to accelerate the realization of my musical ambitions at the expense of maintaining these resources.

What's your conclusions?

It is partially tenative, but I believe the LinnStrument, Mosaichord, and Steampipe are the best MPE hardware for myself, but I do not possess the latter two just yet.

There never was a boom to begin with.

Its really not an abnormal amount, given how many years such controllers have been a thing. Several companies went out of business, and a lot of the other discontinued products are because companies brought out new versions or otherwise rationalised their crowded lineup. ROLI did all of those things, and also changed the name of a couple of products, further crowding their list of discontinued items.

Plus these particular lists have attempted to be fully comprehensive, going well beyond the core set of products that most people would consider to be obvious MPE controllers.
