If they leave their flagship synth abandoned with such glaring problems it means they truly DGAF. They've lost every ounce of dignity in my book. It's all about the bottom line.

we don't know what's going on with MX, but (hopefully) we'll see an update... eventually

either way, corporations make products to make money, not earn 'dignity'. and the bottom line IS about money, so... no idea what your point is...

at this moment, there are 84 people who own NI software and think it needs 'more love'. only 7 people so far don't own any NI software. how is NI losing money exactly? hmmm
Hmm yes why isnt this thread 100,000 comments long by now, since there are half a million registered user here? This poll is meaningless, since only a fraction... of the half million users... have seen or engaged with it.

I bet NI are laughing at all 90 people, right now, and are so filthy rich already they dont care about such a trifling amount of money. They probably wrap themselves in blankets made of 100 dollar bills as they intentionally ignore KVR. Ha ha ha haaaa your customer-focused campaign is like ants trying to fight a M1 tank ha ha ha haaa! Investors win.

If we start a fundraiser here on KVR and half a million users chip in, we can hire Cambride Analytica - then engagement is guaranteed! :tu:

Massive X is my favourite synth (along with Razor) and I'd love to see it developed more - or just add scroll wheel support (using it on a touchpad without two-finger scroll is a pain). Even the original Massive had that! I can just about tolerate the lack of visual information (you could argue it stops you being 'tricked' by your eyes), the crappy preset browser, the fiddly envelopes, the fact the performer is terrible even though it's such a prominent feature in the synth. The lack of import wavetable feature and the crude midi mapping are big limitations, but these days I appreciate limitations I suppose. Though like scroll-wheel support often does for me I'm sure any one of these issues stopped many from using it as much as they might have.
I understand why from NI's perspective it makes sense to abandon it. Serum has become an industry standard. Ableton's wavetable synth is pretty good. Vital is free and very flexible. Pigments pairs wavetable synths with several other engines. I think Massive X sounds better than all of those but I don't think most agree or care as much. It would take so much work to bring MX up to the same standard as its competitors they probably don't regard it as worth the effort (same with Guitar Rig). Maybe when the well runs dry on selling sample backs they'll reconsider (and I do think that will happen eventually).

lmao! Yes if we just had a large, for-profit psychological manipulation and fake account generation team with Very Large Datasets siphoned from 2 billion people, we would be CERTAIN to get NI's esteemed attention! That's all it takes! =P

While this is true, some corporations are able to manage a bit of both and sadly NI doesn't appear to be one of them. The point, is that as customers we want a little more balance and in the case of Mx most users just want basic stuff, like a browser that recognises user folders and mouse-wheel support, features that have been standard in software for decades. Nothing in software development is easy, but surely basic browser functionality and mouse-wheel support are up there with the more straight-forward features to implement in a plugin and the fact that NI isn't willing or worse, cannot afford to fund the development of relatively "easy" features, to one of its flagship products (it's number 3 on the front page of Komplete synths), that is quite worrying I think.

I'm a K13U owner btw and I knew what I was getting into and I'm not upset or annoyed especially, but I am reluctant to open my wallet again for NI, until they are prepared to show synths like Mx a bit more love and that has to count for something for a money/profit driven company, no? :D
