Keep in mind that you're only getting the "engine" of ST 2.5, not the whole meal deal.bduffy wrote:Uh, so seriously, right now I could pick up SampleTank 2.5, SR SampleTank Vintage Collection, Squids Rare Instruments Vol. 1 Electronic, and either mpliTube 2, Ampeg SVX, CSR or T-Racks for $239?? But non-the-less, this is a great deal!

I wondered about Reason users, too, and I am sure there are Reason users who want these sounds,,,, but my guess on the GB was timing it with IK's promotion to get the free plug in. I'm sure if you're a little patient, these sounds will be available for Reason, but with this opportunity,,, you might want to have both. While I'm sure Reason is great, Sampletank is, too,,, and the free plug in almost makes this GB too good to be true.
I doubt Squids could ever offer a sound set at this price that would include the Reason software and a free plug of your choice.

We'll have these titles in Reason format as well as Squids Tron Vol. 1 & 2 next month or two. So... there's your Reason answer. Hopefully a good one!ephraze619 wrote:I'm kinda bummed....will there be a comparable package for Reason????!!!!!

Here we go... some more photos!

When we say we sampled a Ringo kit we really meant it!

This is a Hohner Cembalet on top of a Mellotron. Notice the Lennon glasses?

Two Moogs (Voyager and MiniMoog) sampled for SampleMoog. Plus, in the spirit of rare instruments, pictured here with them is the Continuum Fingerboard!

Here's one of the rock kits we sampled.... but we sampled many in so many different studios....

This is a Stylophone. You can hear it on the song "Space Oddity" by David Bowie.

Cool vintage Tele Bass! Rarely see these.

Even MORE samples of the Moog Theremin that didn't get released with SampleMoog so... this is the only place to get them!

This seems awesome, but I already have the STank Engine.
Is it possible to give just this engine to someone? Let someone else register it in their name? It's probably somewhere in a EULA or something, but I'm not at home, thus was hoping I could get a quicker answer here!

If you register this SampleTank engine though you can pick out a free IK effect worth $399. (like AmpliTube 2, Ampeg SVX, CSR or T-Racks). So... you might as well keep it for that reason alone!Spookyrockstar wrote:This seems awesome, but I already have the STank Engine.

This is a Hurdy Gurdy. It's like a cross between a violin and a keyboard. You turn a wheel and press on the keys so that violin-like strings are "Bowed" by a rosin wheel.
The main instrument you see there is called a "mouth organ". You blow into it and cover up/release the various holes in the pipes for it's sound which can either be melodic or chordal. This is a beautiful instrument from the Far East. Behind it you see a Psaltry and an Indian instrument related to the Sitar.
This is a toy xylophone.
Pictured here is an Armenian Duduk. This is a double reed wind instrument that has a very ethereal vocal quality to it. You can hear it on Peter Gabriel's Passion album as well as on many film scores.
Here's a wall of acoustic world instruments!

here's a few from the Vintage collection.

This is the famous Beach Boys B3 that I used to own. It had a white Leslie 122 and sounded really cool!

This is the Prophet 10 that was used on Pink Floyd's The Wall. It still had the patches in it! You get more Prophet samples in this collection. Another nice part of the package.
More pics coming...

Would like to see audio demos posted before committing - checked last night (Apr 6) and didn't see any. Thanks.
We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

Some delays on that, sorry. But it's coming. We also extended the group buy another week to give more time for deciding... although the more that join the lower the price! We're only a few away from the next price drop.gnu23 wrote:Would like to see audio demos posted before committing - checked last night (Apr 6) and didn't see any. Thanks.
