This is NOVAkILLER. Its based on ANGSTkILLERmini, so its a basic FM synth, but I've put in simple slider-driven ADSR envelopes and added a few things, like Hard Sync and invert switches on some modulation destinations. I really like this new-style GUI stuff, so it will probably delay the release of the next batch of VSTi, whilst I tweak everything. [What can I tell ya, I'm a visual kinda guy.]

I've also finished a new skin for ORION, called SURFACE. Here is a sample of what it looks like:

Each generator gets its own colour scheme, with the toolbars and stuff getting amber and red. The other skins have been updated for Version 7.5 and there are also a couple of new wallpapers for ORION, including one with all the hotkeys for easy reference [a brilliant idea, don't you think? (not mine, of course)].

The site has been tweaked for widescreen viewing and the artwork for the new album has been updated. You can find it all by clicking on my signature image.

I looked at updating HOPEkILLER but I felt it was already pretty good so I didn't bother. I might update the GUI, add a couple of things to it and see what happens. If you want the current version, I can send it to you.

Anyhoo, I just added a variation to the new skin on the site. Instead of using different colour themes for each generator, its all grey and amber [my default prefereence]. You can either use it as is, or selectively overwrite the colours you don't like from Surface, many of which are quite hideous. The new version is called SurfaceXT and its available on the site.

P.S. I'm already working on a minor update to NOVAkILLER, to add a couple of new things that shouldn't break backwards-compatibility.

Is this an indication that finally, after so many years and countless thousands of plugins, people have finally reached saturation point? Who'd a thunk it!?! Not so long ago any new plugin would get two or three pages of responses easily before I had to start bumping the damned thread.

yah, i wonder if folks are saturated myself sometimes...
amazing how much stuff is out there, last i checked i think i had nearly 3000 vsti's in my folder...

and probably half of them are either crap or something that another synth does the same or better....but that doesn;t make them any less cool imo.

i guess folks are jaded?

imo, yes it is.
I know i've made a comitment not to d/l anything new, synth-wise.
I mean, i got dozens, so i really should explore those first, see the ones i want to keep, delete the others, explore the remaining ones till i know them fully, etc.

I used to spend all my time downloading and never did any music!

I just uploaded an update to the new synth. Version 1.5 features the full X-Filter set-up with mixable Low/Band/High-Pass/band Reject outputs. You can now also select the interpolation of both envelopes, not just the Mod Env. I've also tweaked the UI a little to make it more usable. The image at the top of the thread should update to show the new version.

Yeah, I meant to mention that. The only thing you might find is that you'll need to move the X-Y pad down to the LP corner on existing patches. I think the interpolation on the VCA envelope might also need tweaking here and there but at least it loads in existing projects.
