Wish 'Puppy were still releasing on BandCamp... they seem to have had some kind of disagreement, though.

Many essential ones mentioned.

I would add at least
Joe Pass: Virtuoso #3

Most enjoyable for all guitar lovers, and a school book of harmony.

And - most of the great early (and later) jazz lady singers are missing, so far.
Not too many male singers, either.

Yeah, although Archie Shepp's Blase and Attica Blues both feature my favourite female and male jazz singers from that period - Jeanne Lee (Blase) - who also sang on some other great albums such as Afternoon of a Georgia Faun by Marion Brown, and Joe Lee Wilson who had such a beautiful musical voice and also sang on Shepp's A Touch of the Blues which is beautiful (esp What would it be without you).

Also Abbey Lincoln rarely gets mentioned but deserves much more respect. That's Him! is one of my favourite sung jazz albums and she played a major role in Freedom Now!

If Jazz rock is an option: Steely Dan -Gaucho. Babylon Sisters and all that wonderful stuff.

Sade has never failed my either though restricting her to Jazz may be too far a stretch.

And since I hereby have displayed my lack of interest in “real” jazz productions, let me bravely admit that some boogie-woogie usually would do it for me. Love those Andrews girls

With the new season of Better Call Saul starting up here is a Scott LaFaro tune that was used in an episode in season 2.

And I picked up yesterday the 7" of
Miles Davis ‎– Classics In Jazz Part 2 which I will listen on my 60's Gerrard deck through a nice pair of castle speakers :D

Again, not jazz, although I listen to this and hear a number of things, plus I like jazz in its descriptive form ;)
