Nope. Win7 support came with ProTools 8.0.3. The old MBox is only supported up to version 8.0.1.

The question was not "Can I use MBox1 with ProTools8 in Win7?"C00kie wrote:Nope. Win7 support came with ProTools 8.0.3. The old MBox is only supported up to version 8.0.1.

Not everybody in the world wants to work with protools.
The MBox1 is an audiointerface like every other USB-Audiointerfaces
in the world.

Its not class-compliant, AFAIK, so its not like every other class-compliant USB interface in the world, for a start. The MBox1 is an audiointerface like every other USB-Audiointerfaces

Official Win 7 (64bit) beta support was introduced with 8.03 cs2 or something.
But I have PT 8.01 working under Win 7 32bit flawlessly (with an MBox 2 Mini).
The original MBox 1 will work up to PT 8.01, so there's a chance it will work in Win 7 32bit.

My Mbox is far away from where I am living now, so I don;t wanna to ship it unless it works.
Thanks.
Win 7 64 bit "beta" support came with 8.03 with the 8.04 beta driver. And any version after 8.01 doesn't support the original MBox 1 anymore.
But I'm not sure if this "support" is only meant as "you can try, but won't get customer support from us" or "strictly not working".
I guess the latter.
