thanks, guys. :-)
the title, btw, came from nancy (me girlfriend). i played the piece for her, prepared it for upload to kvr, then said "quick, give me a title." i loved what she came up with, especially in light of the Monkees song.

Exactly what I didn't receive for my birthday: a musical manifestation of irrationality in a bilateral monopoly betwixt a farmer and cattle-rancher.
sorry too much studying. cool piece, thanks for sharing.

I first listened to it yesterday, but only on 2nd listen (in the right frame of mind) I caught the subtle link between rhythm and melody which very often is fundamental in your stuff.
I dig the dynamics flow.
Cheers

This is quite catchy.
OOtray, but groovy.
The only reason it wouldn't work in a soundtrack (say, a high-tech heist movie) is that it is too interesting! It would distract one from the usual thin and implausible story line.
It sounds nice, too. Very clear and 'natural' sounding.
