Greetings,
http://linux-sound.org/audio/studiodave-upicle.mp3
Upicle is a demonstration of Thomas Baudel's HighC (http://highc.org), a reimplementation of Iannis Xenakis's famous UPIC system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UPIC). I make no claims for this piece's musical values, but it was great fun to compose it with HighC.
Btw, unfortunately HighC offers only mono output. The stereo version here is a simple copy of the original into a second channel. The program really needs some spatialization functions.
I've placed the score at http://linux-sound.org/images/upicle-score.png for viewing.
Thanks for listening, comments welcome.
Best,
dp

Interesting and enjoyable. I could have gone for more of it. The program looks interesting too. Thank you.

thanks for making me learn about UPIC. Interesting read.
Qw, music from twelve weeks in quarantine is now streaming on spotify and bandcamp. This is a collaboration with the the smallest of worlds VR art project, that documents our living spaces in times of isolation. You can join their project here.
