So, the other day I found audio file I recorded about a year ago, with sounds made of a rubber balloon. The technique was picking, similar to picking strings, just picking balloon surface, the sounds were somewhat percussive and somewhat tonal. Pitch could be modified by squeezing it and was rather unpredictable. I had two free evenings, so I chopped it and made some patches in Kontakt.

it sounds like this
or like this

I'm not sure what is worth, I find it funny, some patches are, so to say, somewhat detuned here and there and a bit unpredictable... Anyway, I'm sharing it until the end of the year.

here - 10MB, requires Kontakt 2 or later

I have been playing around assigning different functions to modwheel. The patch called "starter" is not to play, but it contains all samples with root key assigned, I used it as starting point for other patches.

Speaking of balloons, is there any way to convert NCW back to WAV? As far as I can see you can just go to the menu in Kontakt and batch convert WAV to NCW but is there any way to go the other way? Or am I missing something obvious!!
