Gone With The Wind - so-so (watched one hour and a half in the first session, another hour in the second session, then lost interest for a third session).

Picked up a CBS All Access subscription during the Amazon Prime Black Friday sale and started watching Evil. Good stuff. Episode 4 is one of the darkest and most disturbing network TV episodes in a while. Even Black Mirror feels pale in comparison.
I'll check it out - sometimes I like these shows but other times they are too specifically or intensely Christian for me to understand or suspend disbelief in the underlying mythos.
It's actually a lot less Christian than you might think. The Catholic references are primarily for establishing context, they have close to no meaning for the progression of the storyline. At least so far.

Edit: And I think that is actually what makes episode 4 so dark. You are somewhat waiting for a supernatural explanation and then it resolves itself in a twist that is disturbing because it is completely realistic.
watched a couple and agree - not sure if I will last a full series but will definitely watch a couple more (certainly up to ep4 :) )

reminds me a bit of Mysterious Ways from (OMG) almost 20 years ago

Went to see Doctor Sleep tonight. Ok. First half is very close to the book, 2nd, not so much.

Yeah, I was sceptical at first due to my aversion to political correctness, but it sure grew on me and I ended up loving Start Trek Discovery too.

Love The Orville as well; can't wait for season 3, which should be coming along any minute now if it hasn't already...

Klaus.

Really quite good and destined to become a Christmas classic IMO.

Home sick, so I watched Netflix' Dark s1&2. Can't wait for season 3. German scifi with twists in time.
Loved it.

Watching Rain now... well into s2. Entertaining...

That would be an even better version. Come to think of it, the season has come to watch Die Hard :hyper:

That is a good one. Although I felt that some scenes at the beginning of season 1 were a bit overdirected.
