Thank you, Attila.
I uncheck the setting "Open RapidComposer in a separate window" under Settings / Miscellaneous, and now it works, though only the x86 Vst version. Vst3 and Vsti keep causing Reaper to crash.
In the x86 version it now works correctly. Thank you very much

Hi josejuan!

This is crazy. Maybe you have some software installed (e.g. Folder Guard) that affects folder access?
Do you have a virus scanner installed?
I don't know what to think because no-one else reported such serious issues with the plug-ins.

It is possible that the data in RapidComposerV4 (e.g. chords, scales, progressions library) got corrupted and make the program crash during importing them. Will you rename your existing Documents/RapidComposerV4 folder, and create a new one, and unzip this file in it:

If the plug-ins work with these files, I would gladly check your RapidComposerV4 folder if you send it to me in e-mail.

So the first version that behaved like this was v4.3.3? What was the last version that worked well?

My Documents/RapidComposerV4 folder was about 4 Gb, no less. All the compositions were there from the beginning.
I have done what you told me and now everything works perfectly.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience I've caused. The fault has been mine.
As a teacher, I have a OneDrive host that, without warning, moved all of my Docs content to OneDrive. That may have been the problem. The thing is, I did what you told me and all plugins work. Thank you very much, Attila.

Having Documents on OneDrive caused trouble also for another customer, so I must do something about it. Displaying a better error message would help to localize the problem.

On Mac OS X, the piano roll view keeps scrolling to the top whenever I hover my mouse over it. I have a "magic mouse", which is the default mouse that comes with many Apple computers.
