this is very helpful Sean. thanks.

an entirely optional bonus question: folks on the web describe the Dimension D as using a filtered square wave to modulate the BBD. so triangle lfo modulation emulates this in the digital realm? or is that description inaccurate somehow?

A strange one: Strange Thing :hihi:
The first few seconds are dry, then I start to bring in ÜberMod and modulate "some" parameters :hihi:
At the and I bring back the dry sound again.
I love ÜberMod!

A quick way to copy the Valhalla presets from these forums without the plugin or your DAW open, or if on an internet only computer:

Create any word/text document in the presets folder or make a new folder for desired category within it, copy/paste the preset code into the document (starting and ending with the sideways triangle arrow keys < > , copy the preset name, save. Go into the folder and edit/rename the newly created document's filename so you type/paste the preset name as the file name and then edit/rename the file type to *.vpreset instead of *.doc or *.txt. ("New text document.doc" will be renamed to "chorus.vpreset" for example) Each folder will show up as a preset category in the plugin preset list. Fast way to edit, organize and save presets without being near your DAW or have it open. :)

In Windows (XP) your preset folder will be here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Valhalla DSP, LLC\ValhallaUberMod\Factory Presets

Been demoing this, and this method will work with the demo.

Can't say how much I love the Valhalla Dsp effects.. I'm in for the ÜberMod as soon as the pockets are filled again.

Thanks for the great effort Sean!

Noob question guys:

Can I get a pitch shift to always go in one direction either up or down?

Of course. Just not with ValhallaÜberMod. :D

ÜberMod is basically a chorus that was exposed to high doses of radiation, and developed super powers and/or unsightly growths. The pitch shifting sounds are an artifact of the architecture, and aren't intended to replace a dedicated pitch shifter.

 hehe Roger. So I should run through a pitch shifter then into UberMod.

Thanks Sean!

yes! in a *feedback loop*! 8^O

ps- for the mac folks, the apple AUPitch component has surprising low latency with "good" quality, and more parameters than you can shake a stick at.

I might have to try that!
