Hi all

Can this be done with rtpMidi?

I have a large orchestral template spread over three slaves all running rtpMidi (with no problems - great piece of software) - but the thought of manually reconfiguring all the ports on each PC in the event of an upcoming OS reinstall fills me with horror.

I used to use MidiOverLan and it had a "Save port configuration" option.

Anyone know if this is possible with rtpMidi?

Thanks,
Mike.

should be possible, although I don't know yet how.
Formant+Eurorack, PPG wave 2.2, Korg MS-20, etc., EWI 4000s, QuNeo, etc., Mixbus 32c, u-he, MadronaLabs, Samplemodeling, NI, etc., iPad2/4/Pro

Thanks Phil999 - I'm also pretty sure it can be done - just can't figure out how.

Please let me know if you get it figured out :)

Usual places to look for this sort of config data on Windows:
* C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\???
* .ini files at an arbitrary location
* The Registry

A complete system restore with a tool like Ghost should take care of it, but obviously not if you want to install from scratch again.

If this is mission-critical to you, better ask the tech support or developer of this software itself. They should know...

thanks BertKoor

I've checked those three locations you suggested, but no luck.

I'm beginning to suspect there is no "Save" function.

Have sent two emails to Tobias Erichsen (developer) - but no response.

Looks like I will have to manually set this all up again :cry:

Appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Mike.
