Various vocal strands interweave to create a delicate, but disturbing atmosphere.
The soundscape slowly fragments and the various timbres morph towards the middle of the piece as the message from the 'voices' intensifies.
Everything then gradually smooths out as the 'head' regains a semblance of control! :0)

Reminds me a bit of Ligeti. It could be used as a soundtrack for a movie in outer space or it could illustrate psychological issues (inner space?) as the title suggests.
Eerie and effective.

I wasn't thinking of Ligeti when I wrote this one, but I see what you mean - Requiem etc + some of the other pieces of his music that were used in Kubrick's 2001.
Thank you for linking me with one of the 20th Centuries great, innovative composers! :0)
