What about the "Acoustic Agent SE"? is it installed by default? Do I need to do something to have it? Or I just missed something?

This is library that you should find in Groove Agent SE 4 under 'Drum' at the Vsti selection dialog:

Thanks but I already did that and there is only one library "Beat Agent SE" and no other library. I will reinstall and see, maybe it is not checked by default?!standalone wrote:This is library that you should find in Groove Agent SE 4 under 'Drum' at the Vsti selection dialog:

Just to be sure, how many presets you see by default? It says 96 for me. I don't know, maybe I should have uninstall Elements 7 first? because I thought just to install Elements 8 and keep Elements 7 just in case.

I'm trying out Elements 8. It's a really nice update from 7. The GUI is much improved, things are neater. It feels more responsive too.
I'm going to hold out till I see what Presonus have to say at Messe, but if they don't deliver I might make the leap. I'd love the full version so I can do bounce in place, but I don't want to use the USB dongle.

No! I tried everything but I believe the content file is just not there "FCP_SMT_152_GASE_Acoustic_Studio_Kit.vstsound" or any similar one in Additional Content in the extracted downloaded file.EnGee wrote:Thanks but I already did that and there is only one library "Beat Agent SE" and no other library. Hello,
Best regards,

Not at the moment but it is definitively under consideration.standalone wrote:Guillermo, it seems that making music on Windows tablets and the such could be big in the future. Right now only Cubase Elements is a practical alternative for that, nobody wants a dongle on a tablet. Do you have plans to make Cubase more tablet friendly apart from Cubasis?.

There is no need to uninstall older versions. I guess that this library is simply not included in Elements. To be sure you can open the installer like a normal ZIP file with 7zip or other program and explore the contents.EnGee wrote:Thanks but I already did that and there is only one library "Beat Agent SE" and no other library. Hello,
Only Groove Agent SE 4 for Cubase Pro 8 has the Acoustic Agent.

Cubase Elements 8 has Groove Agent SE 4 but without the Acoustic Agent.EnGee wrote:No! Yes thank you. I don't think they have included it in Elements, although in the Groove Agent SE Manual, there is a Chapter which its title is "Acoustic Agent SE (Cubase Elements only)" page 75standalone wrote:There is no need to uninstall older versions. Anyway, let's move on!
I also discovered a great thing! "Trip" in Halion Sonic SE! Simple synth with 3 OSC but what filter! I mean it is so addictive to play with and have Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeemy sounds or any VA aggressive sounds. Of course can be with layers and HS SE already comes with nice effects.
This release is a winner. I might do all the tracking in it then import the stems to Studio One (or Sonar or Reaper). Elements just misses the sidechaining, but that is available in the Artist version and I can't ask for it to be in Elements. It would be heresy

Even more(!) so than it currently is? I already said it years ago that C7 goes too much into the "touch screen" section. But if it's going "full touch screen compatible" (GUI wise) while staying on the desktop - I guess it's time to move on. This isn't like with Sony VEGAS's "Touch Screen" GUI mode (which is exorbitant and darn ugly!).Guillermo Navarrete wrote:Hello,

The "Slate Batch Commander" concept is actually what could elevate Cubase into something "really great" (and I hope something along those lines is already in the making), actually V-Control Pro for iOS is also adding "a lot" to the CubEndo experience (if it would finally be ported to Android as well!).
But nah, Steinberg is constantly adding more and more useless stuff to the ever growing spaghetti code, then calling it "mind-bending features", while reducing general functionality with already existing hardware devices in the process. Not to mention breaking the VST plugin compatibility with each consecutive update and then blaming this "problem" on the third party developers that they "don't stick to the SDK specs".
And you wonder why some(!) users don't want to upgrade blindly anymore.
(personal sub-note: Do not test software late in the night anymore, then only sleep for like 5 hours since you have an appointment, then get online to unwind on KVR and get ticked off in the process)

Calm down, calm down. Don't panic, just take a deep breath. I'm sure that sooner or later you'll find some bug.

Right - at least somebody is "finding" issues and points them out, so that they can be fixed, and then you don't need to bother. So be happy that you(!) don't run into any troubles or issues.standalone wrote:Calm down, calm down. Don't panic, just take a deep breath. I'm sure that sooner or later you'll find some bug.
But for starters:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 4#p6009154
And don't let me get started on this, which I got last night as part of contacting one company I currently beta test for: http://www.juce.com/forum/topic/plug-in ... n-cubase-8
(the particular company I test for is, like many others, using the JUCE engine - which "brings down" Cubase 7.0.x and up if we talk about VST3 plugins - another reason why so many devs spit out acid towads Steinberg's SDK implementation as of late! It's almost as broken as Wavelab 8's VST3 implementation with the "Audio Forward Bug" at this point)
But I said it before in another thread - it's obviously all in the mind:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 8#p6008098
And as you said yourself in this very same thread - you don't believe in "any" of the reported bugs - Cubase runs fine out of the box.
Must be lonely up there, no? At least the weather is supposed to be nice. If you have the time, send me some greeting cards...
