So what about playing chords?
C/R, dongles & other intrusive copy protection equals less-control & more-hassle for consumers. Company gone-can’t authorize. Limit to # of auths. Instability-ie PACE. Forced internet auths. THE HONEST ARE HASSLED, NOT THE PIRATES.

you can play chords just fine. it's polyphonic and everything, you just get 4 layers per note, is all.

I've been demoing this and I'm absolutely in love with it. But I can't seem to get the LFO to function....nothing I do works. The manual is an atrocity and I've emailed for support and nothing .....
It's a shame because I really want to to give TAL my money but they don't seem to want to take it lol

Settings like rate, sync, waveform, retrigger need to be set in the LFO section.
To get an LFO to actually modulate something you need to assign the LFO to a target in the modulation matrix. There you can set the modulation amount to the target with the corresponding knob.

Thanks everyone....
I figured it had to be in the matrix routing. I was kind of hoping I didn't have to sacrifice slots for what is usually standard, static routing in subtractive synths.....but I suppose it's more flexible this way

Anybody compared TAL Sampler/DAC to Arturia CMI Fairlight? The Fairlight does not have, of course, EMU/Akai emulations, but does have Sample Rate, Bit Rate etc and can definitely alter nice clean audio. I only tried both for first time last night. I do like both.

Hi guys, I'm not sure, is it possible to have different ENV settings per layer? Or are the ENV settings general for the whole sampler?
Same with the effect, can it be per layer (or even better per sample)

There is an aux env which you could assign to a separate layer, or multiple layers.
You could also assign the amp and flt env to separate layers as well, although this is not ideal or what you were asking for.

Is this AUX env in the mod matrix?

It’s ENV3, and yes it’s in the mod matrix.

Hm think I'm staying with tx16, i switched to tal because it seemed easier and with fx. But it's not as versatile for even simple task.
You need to be able to set the release time of samples separate.
