Is there a reason stomp effects in packages like Amplitube, Guitar Rig, and the like aren't included or are you looking for standalone stomp effects?

The UAD Bermuda Triangle is the closest thing I've found to the real thing. The UAD RAW does NOT sound like a Rat pedal but it's actually my favorite stompbox plugin. The UAD Tube Screamer is lame.

sorry, wasn't paying attention... the gv is an emulation of the Marshall guvnor, but it's my least favorite of the three. the other two are great but not emulations of anything specific.electro wrote:What pedals are those emulating?chroma wrote:some of the AXP ones are pretty good (i have used Charbooster and the 3OD, i just saw the SoftDrive GV, have to try that one next): http://www.soft-amp.com/
an interesting one is the tsb1, by the guys who did the tse999. there is a pedal it emulates, but it's a one-off, custom built hardware stompbox. or maybe the vst was done first, then when they liked it they built the hardware? I can't remember....

I used a real Guv'nor pedal for years. It was OK for the time but I don't understand why there's so much hype around it these days.chroma wrote:the gv is an emulation of the Marshall guvnor

must be because of the Marshall name. never used a real one but don't really prefer the emulation.Uncle E wrote:I used a real Guv'nor pedal for years. also remembered another one: audiffied multi drive. emulates the usual suspects. not spectacular but very decent, and very cheap.

Antresol emulates (with many extended features) the EHX Electric Mistress. I don't know how close since I don't own the pedal (maybe I should get one); anyway it is a nice plugin.

The recently discontinued UAD Boss CE-1 is an excellent chorus.

Mokafix had awesome emulations. Unfortunately, Mokafix stopped making them years ago. I loved the "Meat Muffin", which was an emulation of the Electro Harmonix Metal Muff. It was AMAZING.

Yes, it should have been in the original post. And the Antresol GUI is stunning.sin night wrote:Antresol emulates (with many extended features) the EHX Electric Mistress. I don't know how close since I don't own the pedal (maybe I should get one); anyway it is a nice plugin.
Mokafix was King and then they came and snatched him away. 64bit ports of his stomps would be great.xphen0m wrote:Mokafix had awesome emulations. Unfortunately, Mokafix stopped making them years ago.
