Avenger 1.8.2 Cubase 12 Pad sounds have click at start of note. Not related to attack and release of envelope. It's not every time but mostly. Issue not in other synths.
Edit: Fixed if leaving a gap.

So I tried this again after ignoring it for a long time because the interface was bad and they couldn't enable proper looping in the multi-sample (not actually sure if this is the correct name) module because of some nonsense about CPU usage.
I have the Synthwave II expansion. I want to take a drum preset, and change out the snare sample for another snare sample from the same expansion. How do I do this? Why is this not immediately intuitive, like every single other drum sampler that I own (like 5). I quickly read through the drum section of the manual, watched the youtube video explaining the drum section and skipped to the drum section, and went to a 3rd party website tutorial on the drum section and I still don't know how to do this incredibly simple thing that I could do on any of my other drum samplers in 3 seconds without consulting another resource, even after not using the software for years. Very frustrating, non-intuitive UI.
Can someone explain how to change just my snare sample to a different snare sample from the same Synthwave II expansion?

you have to lock the drumslots exept the snare, then you can load other drumkits but only the snare will be replaced. This will change in version 2.0 completely, see video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haiLNhpywyU&t
it will also be able to playback synced drumloops then.

The drum improvements are one of the main things a lot of us are looking forward to in V2. The sounds in V1 are excellent but as you've found out, they're not currently great to edit.briefcasemanx wrote: ↑Sat May 14, 2022 11:46 pm So I tried this again after ignoring it for a long time because the interface was bad and they couldn't enable proper looping in the multi-sample (not actually sure if this is the correct name) module because of some nonsense about CPU usage.

Keyfile and activation via V-Mananger app they provide. I am not sure if the license needs to be renewed after a period of time but if so it would likely be 90 days. No dongle. No CodeMeter. Their V-Manager app is pretty simple to use - enter serial number, download products, activate license.

Hey guys, just a heads-up. My Avenger Expansion intro price is ending soon. It's currently only £24.49 for 122 Avenger presets with free demo pack to download!
"Cataclysm — a new electronic cinematic sound bank for Avenger featuring a collection of exquisitely crafted Avenger presets inspired by modern soundtracks including: Mr Robot, Mass Effect, The Division 2, The Social Network, and Cyberpunk 2077. You’ll find 122 creative presets in 6 categories: bass, piano and keys, leads, pads, textures, and sequences. Each preset has the mod wheel assigned, and many are velocity sensitive and react to aftertouch for expressive playing. We've created these presets using many of our own custom audio samples."

Astralv wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2016 4:02 pm Lets review the term "EDM". The EDM is only one small substyle of electronic music. There is Trance, House, Industrial, Dubstep, Electro, Electronica, Ambient, Glitch and then there is EDM. To me- EDM is modern kid's version of House and Dubstep mixed together that offers very simple and annoyingly loud aggressive synth parts that probably sound good when on drugs with good lighting system but make no sense when you driving in traffic to work at 6 am. Electronic music includes many styles. I, for example, make electronic music that can not be classified. If I am in the mood for Trance, I do trance. Lately I do more Dubstep or electronica music. But it has nothing to do with EDM.
I am amused about the comments like "This synth is for EDM". If you writing Jazz, heavy metal, Country or Rock & Roll music, you will not be using software synth. You may need one synth to play pads and leads sounds here and there. The software synths are for producers that create 90% of their arrangements on computers using software synths. These producers make Electronic Music (EM), not EDM. So what is the style of music you making that requires software synths but can not benefit from EM (or EDM)- oriented synth?
I got in to Dubstep because it is very innovative. I used to listen a lot of trance and electronica and everything sounded the same after 10 years. I was using mostry hardware synths and could not find much of inspiration. And then Dubstep came with woobles and unusual electronic sounds that my hardware could not make. I remember asking, "How did they make this sound? I know- Access Virus can not make it!". This is how I got in to software synths. It does not matter what drum track one picks. It can be dance drum track or it can be groove, or glitch, or may be even rock drums. It is what sounds used with the drums. The NEW synth should offer NEW sounds that we did not hear before. If it makes all the same sounds as Spire, Dune and Tone2, then it will not move the progress of computer music forward. Think about the music that will be written 20, 30 years from now. It has to be different from what we have now, and somebody (developer) has to move the progress forward. Will Avenger offer sounds and techniques that we never heard before? Does it have potential to move the progress forward? I have high expectations from this company because Phalanx offered many sounds that I never heard before. Hope they will keep it up.
Astralv, one of the best comments of what electronic music is today, excellent argument, I hope more of your comments like this, you are a genius!
