Hi all,
I downloaded an SY-1 piano soundfont sometime ago, and in it was a directory called 'SY-1 Piano..'
This file will not delete. I think it's because the two dots mean 'previous directory' so when I say 'delete this file' it thinks I mean 'delete this file and the previous directory, and the previous directory, and the previous directory (and so on)' which can't be done cause that's where the command is run from, higher up the directory.
I have a also tried renaming it, but 'access denied, file in use', then I downloaded a program called moveonboot, but it will only work on files, not directories.
HELP!!
Thanks
CB
Has anyone else had this same problem?
two dots in filename won't delete

Yeah, I should have said - XPpro. And thanks, I remember a friend's anonymous ftp server received a similar file, and he had to type in the ascii codes to specify the file in DOS. That's what I'll do.
