Not a criticism but a curiosity.
My guess is that an MSEG would require something outside of the parameters of current modulators... maybe a bigger draw space or something like that
You think internal clocks?
Space... Diversion comes to mind with little space for that.
But BWS could opt for full window when in edit mode at least, or in the grid to begin with.

I’m positive it will be done but maybe in a BWS’s way.... (better or worse in that case).

I think the Dev's could have possibly decided MSEG's are unnecessary because of automation and other modulators. They also could have something so good already that they are sitting on it until the right moment. I say these things only because (as someone has already mentioned) it barely makes sense for THEE modulation DAW to be missing this. Especially when there is already so much overlap with some of the modulators. If it was my DAW I would have lead with the MSEG and made it versatile enough to eliminate the need for a lot of the existing modulators. They seem to like to have high number counts on modules.

One alternate idea that I think could be cool is a device that can chain multiple modulators together and trigger them in predictable predetermined ways. Parseq-8 isn't quite it. What I have in mind is more like a container for individual modulators that can be assigned to a target just like a normal modulator. Then it could run straight through like a sequencer at timed rates and even have similar behavior to the clip launcher with actions like "play next" etc. Each modulator slot could have its own rate. But then again, an MSEG would be way simpler...

I really want an mseg modulator. Would become one of my most used modulator with lfo and random.

A possible reason why it was no implemented way back...

They claim automation is sample-accurate within VST3 plugins.
So i assume they suppose people will use looped automation in relative mode as a MSEG?

+1 for an mseg. They could really Bitwig it out and make the times and curve modulatable. It could be insane.

+1 for mseg

Shade (new UVI creative filter) has also has good one

so there is a place for possibilities here

ps. (fyi it's on intro sale now, https://www.uvi.net/en/effects/shade.html till Oct 31)

Being able to modulate individual points and curves can be useful, but also tedious. So I'd also like to have ways to affect more than one point at a time. Towards that end, I rather like the function of the Zebra MSEG's that have attack, loop and release stages with time parameters for each stage (regardless of the # of points in each stage). So for the Bitwig MSEG, a similar attack, loop and release stage with strength and time parameters for each so that each stage can be modulated by itself. That would be very powerful, but also fairly quick to create complex shapes and actions.

Another way to approach that could be to have something like the 4 stage modulator, but have each stage able to have sub points... similar to Hive.
