Hi there,

Lately I have been wanting to add in some of the old-school Acid Trance elements with the Hard and Psy styles. I also made some homemade voice samples, so I hope that adds a nice element to the track, telling a story as it goes, up to interpretation.

Feedback is always appreciated.

Thanks for listening :)

Wow, this is awesome!

You managed to catch the vibe of oldschool psytrance with its dark, futuristic and dystopian atmosphere. Something like classic Koxbox albums. The voice samples work perfectly just as you wanted them to.

I'm not sure about the bass though, it sounds somehow constricted and lacks drive a bit. I'd go either for typical psytrance kbbb with more upfront midrange and shorter envelopes or for something more swingy/groovy.

Sounds good. Like a space shooter video game soundtrack.

Thanks Recursive One, I appreciate the feedback. I definitely spent too much time making the bass in this one lol, but I will keep in mind the envelope tip, maybe a shorter decay can serve this better. Thanks again!

Thank you Winkie, that would be so cool to hear this in a game :)

The voice samples are well done. Some nice sound effects throughout. Trance is not my favorite genre due to the repetition but this is more engaging than a lot of tracks I've heard.

BTW, the mix is bass heavy. I think it could some more high frequencies.

cool sounds and fx, psy gets repetitive with its one key bassline but you
did a good job with stops and changing things up. freq balance sounds ok for the genre, imo
good work :tu:

Thanks Frantz, really glad to hear about the voice samples, I am very new in that area. Appreciate the listen and glad I could keep it interesting despite the stigma that comes with trance. I will certainly look into the frequencies going forward too, it's a tough place to strike the proper balance it seems.

I appreciate it Layzer, glad the variations kept you interested. It has certainly been an area I have been working on to keep the audience engaged throughout the track. Thanks for checking it out :)

Agreed with what someone said earlier. While typically not my style, this was so well done I listened through the end. Usually people abuse the squelch of acid sounds but you mixed them perfectly. Loved the samples and fx usage. Never gratuitous. Great stuff.
Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.

Really nice one. A lil too sparse sounding to me in some spots especially but just my opinion of course. I really thought you did a wonderful job and cool you used your own voice in it too.

WTF :nutter:

Not bad, but way too dark for me. I don't like this kind of psy.

Chemik - very awesome of you to give it a listen and glad you liked it :)

ATS - I appreciate it and will certainly look into filling the spaces a little more in the future, maybe with some faint pads or something to give it context.

DJ Warmonger - Thanks for giving it a try

It sounds like a well done EDM tune. Just to listen to it seemed a little long but for dance it is probably fine. I was thinking that mixing up the male voice with some female voice might add interest.
