Hey guys,

it's me again with another One Synth Challenge track. After last months Fathom[1] track for OSC#109 which took 3rd place, this month the simulation of classic 2 Operator FM sound card hardware is the Synth of Choice [2].
If you like, please check out my track. And as always I'm happily looking forward to reading your feedback.
What do you think about mix, sounds, composition...

it sounds dynamically flat. ease up on compresson.
the composition is good, sounds are pretty much harmonically
distorted by the over brickwalled limiting. but not bad for a vst
thats supposed to emulate an old isa fm soundcard.
there ya go, an honest opinion ;)
HW SYNTHS [KORG T2EX - AKAI AX80 - YAMAHA SY77 - ENSONIQ VFX]
HW MODULES [OBi M1000 - ROLAND MKS-50 - ROLAND JV880 - KURZ 1000PX]
SW [CHARLATAN - OBXD - OXE - ELEKTRO - MICROTERA - M1 - SURGE - RMiV]
DAW [ENERGY XT2/1U RACK WINXP / MAUDIO 1010LT PCI]

Hm, I cannot guarantee, that the distortion is not on purpose...I have actually used MeldaProduction MRatio to add some distorted sound to a clean one...However thanks for the review and the nice and constructive feedback. And actually your right I have done sort of an experiment on how I can use several light compressing compressors in a row to get better glue...seems that was a slight bit too much ;-)

everything distorted sounds bad, over brickwall limiting the entire track will do that. a few distorted sounds mixed with clean sounds sound better, imo.

I loved the sounds and the composition. Like layzer, I wasn't sure about the mix. There is a "coarseness" about it, but that could be due to the synth, although I suspect you may have been pushing the limiter a little bit harder than usual.

Good work :)
