Here is some more background information about Blue Cat's Axiom on our blog: why would we need yet another multi effects processor for guitar & bass?

Post

It´s not entirely clear to me in how far Axiom includes Late Replies (probably my mistake :hihi:)...

Is there "only" a built-in delay in Axiom that is equivalent to Late Replies or is the full separate plugin of Late Replies included in the price of Axiom?

It is "only" a built-in delay that is fully equivalent to Late Replies (and even shares presets with it). However it cannot be loaded outside of Axiom. To get full versions of PatchWork, Destructor and Late Replies that can be loaded outside Axiom, check out the Axe Pack bundle.

I see, thanks - then I´ll raid my savings account for the axe pack before my special existing-customer-offer is over :hyper:

(Really, I´d very much rather add another $30 and get MB7 instead of Patchwork included though... can´t have my bundle-cake and eat it too, I guess :D )

Do you ever need to (1) mix songs that include guitar tracks recorded by others, or (2) use loop libraries for guitar parts, or (3) use guitar virtual instruments? Any of these might be a motive for getting Axiom -- unless you are totally happy with the in-the-box guitar processors you already have.

Post

Thanks. I do some of the above, but with the three plugins I own I can already do almost everything, except some pedal effects. Axiom is mostly a way to make these things more accessible and intuitive for guitar players.

I hate coming off as a dimwit, but I'm a bit of a dimwit. Is Axiom included in the Axe Pack? I'm having a difficult time finding a definitive answer.

Yes, it's the first product listed in the bundle. Includes:
Axiom
Destructor
Patchwork
Late Replies

See,...I told you,...I'm a bit of a dimwit.

Thanks for the clarification!

Not a dimwit, no worries. You obviously want to know exactly what you’re buying. :)

Is "Mike's Upside Downside" referring to Mike Stern?

(I'm assuming Mike Can't Dance is referring to Mike Rutherford in Genesis's "I Can't Dance")

Post

Yes, you got it right!
