Hello all,
I am happy to announce the immediate availability of Cubasis 2.6, which adds great new features and fixes and improvements throughout the app.
Version 2.6 comes with Audio Unit full-screen support, providing comfortable and precise editing of instruments and effects plug-in parameters. Full support for ROLI’s free NOISE app which offers access to the unique Seaboard and Drum Grid visualizers where you can create inspiring drum and melody parts, directly in Cubasis. Adding MIDI CC support for compatible Audio Unit effects and plug-ins. The update is rounded out by several user-requested improvements and fixes, providing highest performance and rock-solid stability.
The 2.6 update is freely available to Cubasis 2 and Cubasis LE 2 users.
And to top it off, we have a 50%-off sales promotion on Cubasis and the Waves Plug-in Bundle, plus other great offers on all remaining in-app purchases. This special offer lasts from September 17 to September 24, 2018.

As a newer ipad/cubasis user I am glad just to see that development for cubasis moving at such a pace. there are still a few things I have trouble missing coming from a full DAW environment and this gives me hope that these will be addressed over time.
These are some bread-and-butter improvements, except for the ROLI support which *could* be amazing except for the seemingly very closed environment (am I missing something here? such a cool controller I wish it could control sources outside the pay-for-play soundsets).
Still the most important thing I'd like to see to make te cubasis experience more usable for everyday music making is a more functional file system for projects and audio. This would include a user folder that can be properly subdivided and accessed easily from the browser, and an easier way to keep files from overwriting each other while recording audio tracks from IAA/audiobus sources. I still feel like I'm always somewhat working in a bit of an unstable fog where i have to keep my world of audio files very limited and can expect my in-app recordings to get overwritten with new ones by accident at any given time.

Yeah the file handling and project handling needs work. not easy to start with a blank projectmostlyjustj wrote:As a newer ipad/cubasis user I am glad just to see that development for cubasis moving at such a pace. there are still a few things I have trouble missing coming from a full DAW environment and this gives me hope that these will be addressed over time.

Well, updated and now IAA instruments won't launch from within Cubasis. Seem to play ok but can't switch to their user interface unless I leave Cubasis and open the synth. Did they change how this is supposed to work? I'm still on 10.3.3 (not wanting to loose some apps by upgrading) on an iPad Pro 12.9

What pace? I feel there's not much progress on it. Group tracks for instance has been on the TODO list for 4 years or something. Meh, better alternatives out there.mostlyjustj wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 6:11 pm As a newer ipad/cubasis user I am glad just to see that development for cubasis moving at such a pace. there are still a few things I have trouble missing coming from a full DAW environment and this gives me hope that these will be addressed over time.
