I could make some colour dialogs?
What else would be cool?
Yes, it looks very good! :D

Most important is the algo and how it sounds - which I hope that it
didn't change much. I'll test that the next days (when I'm in the
studio again).

 : An improvement could be a slight frequency scale at the
lower edge of the EQ, perhaps only with the 100hz, 1Khz and 10khz
marks? That would help, because any frequency adjustment will be
a little faster if you can roughly see where to boost or to cut.

What a nice plugin! Thanks Nick!

What can I say? It looks great - I am eager
to check it ...

ooh heh
Let me know if anything's down
module sycing being broken is driving me a little nuts-
it's an FS issue atm
I think FS just made VSTs resizable, I could test it in this one- being mainly vectors

Post

No panic!

I am not in my studio yet - so I did a short check in audacity,
which loads the 32-bit version only. There are some things
standing out:

-- In Audacity changes in pitch, LFO or EQ are realized only
after a "stop + play" again (but this can be s.th. due to Audacity
and the way VST is included, or it is the syncing-error?).
The mix- and volume fader respond immediately.

-- The display of the upper LFO-speed-knob seems to show
not the correct BPM-value.

I will test it tomorrow in Reaper - here the 64-bit version -
and see if there are the same (or even other or no) issues.

Nice to have: Anything to reset a knob. Normally this
is "Doubleclick" or "ctrl-click". This would be nice, for
example, to have the fine-tuning value set to zero.
I don't know what effort this would be, but the handling
could be improved by a "reset ability" tremendously.

So let's see ... :tu:

The knob handling will be changed np, with ctrl click reset
I'll look into the other issues

Which edition of Audacity?
all good here in FL20 32 bit

edit->hmm, I dunno why Audacity(latest ver.) does that. hmmph
here's the LFO timing schematic:

let me know if you'd like me to change any of the divisors etc. +
all the lines are the same(copy/pasted)
sync is so that 2 modules(the lines) stay the same inside.
Seems like some sort of AI is operating it atm heh

Hello Nick,

finally i tested the pre-version 64-Bit (without ctrl-click) in Reaper:

Everything works as expected! The Algo is good, LFO
works, EQ does it .... fine, all knobs do what they should do!
Also the CPU-load is very low (always below 1%!) :tu:  :hyper:

(Maybe I should never do a pre-test with Audacity!)

Next I'll check the latest version ...

Nice one Nix ... :tu:

Post

Test of the latest version:

-- GUI-resizing works perfectly - though I only need "1.0".
It has a flexible GUI-size now.
-- Ctrl-click reset doesn't work (not implemented I think -
though it could be a nice addition)

Very good. This little thing is amazing! :D

After a thorough test in Reaper I can say: This one
works perfectly well - a true "revival"! :tu:

ivansc - the Reaper-forum wrote: Interesting plug. Just had a play with the "old" version which I had from
way back & forgotten on a track I am doing that needed some Baritone-y
guitar & tweaking regular guitar part down actually sounded almost as
good as my real bari!
I used the old version for vocals-transpositions of one whole octave (!),
and it worked good in many situations.

Just to remember:

For natural fine-tuning of audio, especially vocals,
Autotune, Melodyne, VariAudio (Cubase), Time Machine
(Apple) or even ReaTune are the best tools.

But for a pitch transpose of a whole octave it is not
easy. Here the only way is to try many different plugins,
including Autotune, Melodyne and all those.

In some cases, for some vocals, Kerovee or Nix shifter
reveal better results. If you want a whole octave you've
to test a lot - and maybe you've luck - or sometimes
it's impossible. But ... the chances are good that you
may succeed with the new revived "Shiftah".

And here we've to thank the author of "Shiftah":

Thank you Nick (nix808), this is a fantastic thing (and
you nearly forgot it - unbelievable!) in a happy new
64-bit cleaned up version. Probably your best plugin ever.

Glad to be of service!
I have control resetting almost finished- maybe gotta do the eq
I'm inspired to work on more pitch-shifting things now

also happy it's all working

Cheers!

Post

Hoohaaa, shift it ! :D

Really nice with "Shiftah" is that you can create decent natural
sounding shifts - and you can create brute and extreme experimental
new sounds also. The eq-section is very useful for a first rough correction
of the sound.

nix808 wrote: Fri Oct 05, 2018 12:50 am I have control resetting almost finished- maybe gotta do the eq
Yeah ... mmh ... the reset-function would be good at the continuous knobs
- for the fine-shift and eq-gains. Especially for the fine-shift its always
a slow-moving twiddling to find the zero-position again.

nix808 wrote: Fri Oct 05, 2018 12:50 am I'm inspired to work on more pitch-shifting things now
Well, yeah - shifting has a fantastic potential, in every genre! :phones:

BTW: Where are these nice ornaments on the left and right side
from? They make the GUI very unique and recognizable!

Greetings!

Hiya Enroe!
Here's the font->

still getting around to make the defaulting click on controls.
I'll maybe change the eq a little in ui, not sound

stoked you're using it a lot!

I'm going to try it on hexaphonic guitar for sure, with one shifter for each string

haha hmm
Yeah it does work surprisingly well in radical ranges, so guitar to bass is the go.
