Here is my submission!

I will leave this another concept to you. I think I should stop jumping thruogh jenres and focus on something that I have worked with lately, but sometimes you simply cannot resist the inspiration strike. Probably you know what I'm talking about.

I have pleased to work with Triple Cheese and perhaps this is one of the most unique sounding freeware VSTs. It has it's own way of making sound and it is capable of nearly everything what can be made for electronic music. The sond creation process is rather intuitive and experimental. Sometimes results of turning the knob can be unpredictable, even if it is looking clear and simple. I have made it sound very "subtractive-like" with some "FM wannabe" sounds, but I feel that it's potential can go much deeper. And the FX section with "legal" chorus, flanger, and phaser! Yay!

Though it is limited in some ways. You cannot modulate pitch of the oscillators and there is no filters, so making percussion can be tideous. I have 24 (more than half) instances of TC in my Patcher that working for drums and cymbals, many of them combined with filters (sometimes even two for single instance). I have inspired by the sound of TR-707 and TR-808 as I used some samples at the beginning.

I also should stop this tendency of taking the last place in the bus, or I will never have a time to make proper mix.

Good luck people. This round seems to be hot!

They used to call it "trance" back in the day. Or maybe it's techno. Whatever. The theme of this track is time and how it changes everything irreversibly. Shout-out to Urs for creating cool and inspiring instruments.

By the way I hate audio transcoding algorithms Soundcloud uses. The attack of my bass drum was transformed into some horrible mess.

I needed to add that I have to admit I have already made a cardinal sin: I had to record this with headphones. I'm sure my low end mix is a mess. I didn't realize that KVR time is so off from my own - I had to hide in my office and mix on my laptop while my office had their Hallow33n party to get this done in time. Spam blocker wouldn't allow me to say this with my 1st post.

Thanks

Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression

Tracktion 7 would hang for several minutes if I tried to ctrl-drag a clip (I think it has to do with automation auto-locking, and possibly the tempo changes) but copying seemed to work well.

As for the bounce, I had to record the stereo mix output to get the sound of the actual production. Every render would be choppy to the point of destroyed. I've had this problem when I've used the submix busses (which I think were made available in T6), instead of manually creating a normal track using it as a bus.

Rellik wrote: Wed Oct 31, 2018 5:24 am @liqih just wanted to say I completely love your sound design! That big hollow bass is so creative to me - and your structure is great, it evolves so much but feels so disciplined/dramatic/like it has a specific story worth telling.
I feel roundly complimented, Rellik! Thanks. And I can't wait to find the time to listen to all other entries made with this funny synth.

I just want to congratulate all the participants in advance. I couldn't find the time for my track this month, but I must be back before next one. Lots of incredible productions at only a quick glance. Thanks for sharing all your gifts everyone.
