2666MHz is the offical rated memory controller speed on intel Z390 series chips.
3200MHz is the prefered opperating clock speed for the Zen chips, but then it's a different type of memory system in there.
So try to get the 3200 so I have overhead but run it at 2666 at first for stability. Does this make sense?
or just get the 2666 and save the money. I have $250 or $300 allotted for RAM but nothing wrong with saving money. What to do. RAM is my final purchase and unfortunately other matters have popped up that demand my attention so have less time to select the RAM. Such is life!
