Hi Colin- Thanks much for your kind responses. I know you're busy, and my dribbling out a stream of related questions doesn't offer clarity, but I wonder if you had any thoughts about the "Bang 1/Bang 2" example in this post?

I'm still stumped concerning its behavior, although of course I have a work-around.

You can download the XML presets from the link at the bottom of that post.

All the best, Charles

cturner wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 10:15 pm Getting back to 2D arrays, it looks like you can use [select element] to get things from the primary index, but not the secondary:
That's correct. [select element] expects an array of boolean values at the pattern inlet, and selects each nth element in the source array only if the nth element of pattern is true. In the second case (bang2, with an array of arrays), the usual boolean coercion rules apply, turning the array of non-empty arrays into an array of [true, true, ...].

It uses exactly the same rules to coerce as does the [to boolean (vector)] module, and the same object truthy/falsy rules as elsewhere in Architect, which are in summary: boolean false, 0, 0.0, the undefined token, an empty list, tuple, or map, and zero-length string are all false; everything else is true.

Hey Colin,
Any estimate as to when the update with the library will be out?

Cheers.

I've got another 0.10 release basically done, and that'll hopefully be the last of the 0.10 lines. After that I'll be working exclusively on the 0.11 branch, which will have only minor feature updates, but will incorporate the user library. I'd say February, most likely.

Okay great. Thanks!

When I use the CV to audio out object, a value I send to the object results in a CV signal, but only for an instant. How do I latch the output so the value is held?

Post

Could you send me your patch? How you expect it to work, is how it should work, so you may have uncovered a bug.
