The piece is still under development. I need some ideas on how to develop this further.

Its good, like it.
You need some changes in energy at points in the piece.
Either add instruments in one section to make it build, or take away and have a solo for a few bars.
This kind of music needs to come in waves, not be the same energy throughout. You need to tell a story, and this piece feels like its repeating the opening paragraph over and over.
Overall, liked the celtic feel though.

I tend to agree with what Bansaw said. The concept works along with the instrumentation it just needs something different as it just meanders to the end without telling a story. For the video you could pop on over to pixabay.com and grab a couple of castle videos and stitch them together.
I invite you to 'voyage' over to https://adrianearnshaw.com, sign up for some fun e-mail 'blasts', and look forward to helping you launch your ears - and projects - into the stratosphere.

Nice instrumentation, what did you use for the pipes and solo violin?

It is not a violin. It's a nyckelharpa, swedish string instrument. It's from Medieval Legends II.generaldiomedes wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:29 am Nice instrumentation, what did you use for the pipes and solo violin?
The bagpipes are Ullian Pipes from Ethno World.
