I guys, I have recently put up 2 tutorials on how to design a kick. First one was using Envelopes in Serum without any distortion, and second one by using only envelopes, distortion, Fm synthesis which is here. Feel free to indicate any mistakes or good things you liked.

More kicks then you could ever need can be created using the FREE (32-bit)

Hinton & Fairchild - BIGROOMKIXSYNTH
https://www.hintonandfairchild.co.uk/pr ... ynth-v1-2/

The KVR productpage does not show v1.2 (yet)
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/bigroo ... -fairchild

BIGROOMKIXSYNTH is a specialized and very versatile kickdrum synthesizer (no samples). Many methods/options can be explored. Can also do stuff like snares, toms etc. From clean TR 808 style pitch sweep based kicks to utterly distorted/destroyed hardcore kicks and more. It's a pretty comprehensive and able synth. You don't have to stick to the rules. All sorts of crazy FX can be achieved.

Honestly check out kick 2. you can make the core sub sound with any synth for the kick and layer it with a high hat and another kick(with a high cut).

Nice. My workflow for making drums doesn't involve other synthesizers much. Considering I can throw my own samples into serum and then have easy automation at a glance, I might need to switch it up.

You might want to check out K1CK Synth from 2getheraudio. It really lets you dial in the punch quickly, combine it with a sampled attack and there are even kick mic simulations.

My demos sucks but SM1 is incredible for deep, fat, mellow kick...also i used to like TalNoise Maker for any kind of drums.
