Does this license make me eligible for Rhino3 (when it gets released) or will there be a need to buy additional Rhino3 upgrade license?

Yes, and yes. I haven't decided yet if I'll make Rhino3 free for previous users, or ask for a small update cost, but in any case, it's taken me so long to release it, it's only fair if it's free for anyone who bought Rhino2 in the past couple years.

Hey, no you were right, paypal got turned off at the last server update for some reason. I just turned it back on. You'll be the guinea pig, let me know if that doesn't work

Not sure if this has been reported btw, but right click -> Smooth in the additive editor will instantly crash any DAW I've tried it on.
