I'm surprised but not surprised. Blue Cat is a great developer. Thanks for including it in Axiom. Not sure if that was always the plan but was a nice surprise.

The initial plan was actually to make it ONLY available in Axiom, but it worked so well and people got so excited that we decided to sell it separately too!

I'll check it out tomorrow if I get time. Wondering if the standalone is something I need to have. Especially if the Re-Guitar component can be isolated in Axiom.

It's like for Late Replies and Destructor vs the built-in versions in Axiom: it is mainly for your convenience, if you want to use them anywhere in your DAW without using Axiom. It improves the workflow quite a bit! If you only use Axiom for your guitar sounds though, you will not need it at all.

You are right, I don't really think I need the standalone. Will keep demoing though. Never know. For simplicity it might be the easiest way to get a basic acoustic vibe going.

What an amazing update! Haven't read the manual yet, so this may
be a bit daft, but I put Acoustic on the Axiom Input, and Re-Guitar on PreFX A,
and from that gui, chose Acoustic pickup and Modern Dread(naught)
for the guitar body. Put Late Replies, LaGrange,
or Dragonfly reverb on PostFX A, and went back to
shaping the EQ. There is so much control and range
to access. I recently got my wife a Recording King parlor guitar,
and switching from dreadnaught to the small-body in re-guitar
reminds of that. There's plenty of boom, jangle, and mids to dial in,
great for a first release. Ready for the weekend :hyper:

As an aside, I got an IK UNO synth, which has a 1/8th inch
line-in port, so I have my guitar connected there, from the
line-out of a Fender GT modeling amp, and UNO
to the soundcard line-in. It has a very quiet noise floor
when powered through a usb phone charger or AA batteries,
and UNO has a sequencer, arpeggiator, and 80 user preset slots,
so it's a very nice (and portable) jam-partner.
Cheers

It looks like the week end is going to be too short :-)

I hope that, at some point, there will be a real cross-grade offer for Late Replies owners, rather than just a 10% discount on the intro price ...

Right now, the "registered customer" discounted Axiom plus LR is way more expensive than the regular Axiom, and another way more than the introduction offer :?

(I would assume that Patchwork and Destructor owners think similarly)

I am not sure I entirely follow your reasoning, but there has already been a crossgrade offer when Axiom was launched, and we are working on having more offers in the future. There is also the Axe Pack that has everything bundled together with a pretty good discount overall.
