I suppose we all know the legendary Orch sample on the Fairlight was taken from Stravinsky's "Firebird". We thought it could be fun to actually use this sample in a recording of "Firebird".....

The Orch sample has been taken from Arturia's CMI V, all the other sounds are performed using a Arturia Modular V softsynth.

Total highbrow insanity. Robots could be dancing to this someday.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the plaudits and the special award.....LOL....

We were going for a "highbrow" feel and very much in a Tomita style, a piece I suppose you could make a 100 mistakes and would any one notice, and anyway, aren't we all desperate to use the ORCH sample just once....

Stravinsky would have loved it. Great fun.

Reminds me of Zappa's - G-Spot Tornado. Loved it. Great work. :tu:

It's 00:14 and this is the best piece of music I've heard today. I imagine that this statement will still be true in 1425 minutes.

Good work :)

Hi everyone

PHEW....Such praise, I am really shocked. A comparison to Zappa and praise from Stravinsky, I am tempted to retire from music right now....it's all downhill from here? A fun piece to record though, playing it was difficult enough, how Stravinsky composed it in the first place is mind numbing....
