Do you mean the new front-panel wires you get in Racks?

First step for that is getting an agreement with NI to create licensed Blocks.

You can easily make them an use them in ensemble mode , but you won't be able to use these in rack mode ( for that you need to pay an additionall 1000 euro license fee to N.I. ..for commercila purposes
But no problem using the fpp for user blocks in ensemble mode .
Go into the block and click on the in/output , then enable 'visible on''
Do this for the actual audio in/outputs and the modulation inputs
You might need to rescale the user interface

This is helpful, thanks!

One question - how would one incorporate existing blocks into templates such as these that have existing spaces for patch cables?

Enable show input/output ( see my previous post )
To enlarge the image for additional space for sockets , best solution is to use an image editor program and adjust width

If I understand correctly, the panels in those templates already have additional space for sockets. Would I simply replace the existing panel on the block with one from a template before enabling show input/output? I guess I am trying to understand what the use of these templates would be.

Just curious if anyone could provide some guidance as to how to use the templates in the link above to adapt existing blocks for FPP.

Stupid question - how difficult is it to replace an existing panel with one of the ones from the template? Do I need to reposition the individual knobs and other graphics on the new panel?
