It's in this song and starts at 0:20 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qOR-ADHJ_M8

I know it's a sample being reversed but I don't know what

Honestly mostly any percussion reversed sounds like a slicing sound to me

Also most of the time you hear something reversed in a song, it's usually played in the song somewhere regular, so i'd bet it's one of those shakers that's reversed.

It sounds like one of the snare hits reversed and lowered in volume

Why not just download the audio and reverse it (in Audacity or some other tool)?

I did with a YouTube 2 mp3 converter. I think it's guitar. That or he just found a really busy piece of the song and reversed it

If I had to guess I would say it's the guitar sample you can hear isolated at 1'39 and 3'09. Add some big delay on it, raise feedback so that it lasts a few seconds, bounce the track to audio, then reverse it. Play with delay types to adjust sound.

Yeah I'm thinking its either the guitar, percussion, or just the original song.

Also what synths do you guys think are in that remix?

Im in the market for something to compliment my Yamaha SK15. while amazing being from the 70s it only has three sounds really.

The Yamaha SK15...3 sounds only? It's 3 fully fledged 7 note polyphonic synths in one box.

- Organ (6 sine Additive synth), AR envelope only.
- String machine
- Polysynth

And they can be use seperately or layered. There's even FX onboard (Ensemble). I'd say that's pretty versatile. Especially for an (very late 70s, early 80's) analog synth.

I guess I need more practice with it. But that being said I'm going for a Juno 106 :hyper:
