Plasticky. Were original TB-303's plastic?

I wish there was a notch at 12 o clock in the Tune knob.
plastic, yeah, what else ?
Ah okay. I found some photos of the original and they were indeed in a plastic shell.

Steel for the base, maybe aluminum for the top? That would be nice. From my searching just now, I see some mod for the 303 had them. I might actually do that.
mztk wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2020 6:25 am if you put 6 huge batteries in the tb303, it feels more substantial.
with TD3, you won't lose all your patterns when you take the batteries out.
(plus other modcons)
I think battery power would have been nice to make it more portable, but I'm not super missing it. I do appreciate they included a Boss-like distortion, which was the deal sealer for me.

If they ever want to make a mark II, include a delay effect and a more malleable amp envelope. Maybe even a separate Highpass filter. And a steel plate on the bottom.
mztk wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2020 6:25 am you don't really need a centred notch on the Tune.
Just because you don't, doesn't mean I don't as well; You don't speak for me.

I would still be waiting too had I not caught the micro shipment that came in. I checked in the morning, out of stock. I checked around lunch time 3 left. By the time I got the confirmation of my order in email, they were all gone.

And, now 4 days later, they're still out of stock. So it must have been a really small supply.

Behringer dropped the ball on supply it seems...

Btw they are now back in stock at MusiciansFriend and Sweetwater if you were looking.

My silver TD-3 arrived yesterday, and I plan to order a black version when available.

Mine arrived today. Great fun!
The inclusion of a distortion is very neat.

hi. is there a way to change the root note for pitch mode? right now it's set to "c", so i can't transpose down. only up. couldn't find any information so far. thanks in advance.

unfortunately the „keys“ on my td3 end at „c“ on the left side, so i can‘t shift down ;)
or did i misunderstood you? of course i know how to shift. but the usual way only works for shifting up...

Oh my.
I do hope that when the dust settles, Behringer won't be the last synth corp standing.

It's interesting he brings up Coronavirus as I wonder what impact this will have on Behringers production capabilities given their factory in China

And not just Behringer I'd imagine it will have a knock on effect for people just trying to source components if things get worse
