Our reverb plug-in Verberate 2 has been announced as a nominee for the 35th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement. To celebrate the nomination, we release a free version of Verberate called Verberate Basic along with updates to version 2.1 for the stereo and immersive Verberate editions.

The brand new and completely free Verberate Basic 2 offers four reverb programs based on presets from Verberate 2: Plate, Room, Hall and Lush Hall. These programs are based on the renowned Vivid Hall algorithm and were selected to showcase the audio quality and versatility of Verberate 2. The intuitive user interface has buttons to activate each reverb program along with a reverb mix knob. Verberate Basic 2 is available as of today from the Acon Digital web site.

:tu: Well deserved, the 2.0 was a real step up from version 1 (which wasn’t that bad either;).
My go to reverb for rooms and ambience.
Who are you running up against, Stian?

There was a slight issue with the direct signal being active even if the knob is on "all wet" when you open a fresh instance of Verberate Basic 2 (before adjusting or recalling parameters). This is fixed it in v2.1.2:
Luckily, the issue didn't affect parameter recall. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Best,
Stian

The Mac version of Verberate Basic accidentally deployed presets from the full version of Verberate 2 (these presets are not compatible and selecting any of them have no effect). We've fixed this is version 2.1.3. We've rebuilt for all platforms for consistent version numbers, but there's no need to update for Windows users: Best,
Stian
