It's a money grab. Most DAWs come with built in music theory midi tools. And plus it's cheaper to buy software like Scaler and EZKeys which have been on $30 sales. Or even ChordPotion and Sundog Studio from this companie which just happens to give away midi scales for free...https://feelyoursound.com/
