I'm still feeling my way with HALion 6 - I'm using it mainly to make my own sampled instruments using the Auto Sampling.

I've been trying to figure out where it puts the samples and have found them at

C:User:Mark:Steinberg:HALion6:Recordings.

Unfortunately they are all being called something like Record G5 16.wav which means the samples are all mixed up. (As a precaution I exported most of my presets with the samples so I do have them seperated there).

Is there anyway of getting HALion6 to give the samples a better name than "Record"? (The note name is useful for use in other samplers) .

I had thought creating an empty program with an appropriate name before sampling would have meant the samples picked up the programme name. Obviously that hasn't happened.

(I can see that I can get HALion 6 to generate a better name if I do an export..but I still can't see how I get it to do it for the default save program).
