There will be a newer version at some point.
As we explained, we released those alphas shortly before Covid hit. During Covid the two developers tasked with the main work on this left the company, and we have not been able to replace them fully.
So with the resources we have left, we try to leverage as much work as we can. Because of the nature of the updates, we're doing this in the order MFM -> Filterscape -> Uhbik -> Tyrell. MFM has been updated, Filterscape is next and Uhbik will become the top priority after Filterscape.

Thank you Urs. I'm not questioning the schedule or the various reasons that delayed the release. Really what I'm trying to figure out is if I install the current alpha, how comfortable will I be with the interface going forward. My understanding is that the 9629 UI is somewhat radically different than 1.3.1 (3898). Even though I have a license, I've held off on installing anything under the hope that I wouldn't have to learn a deprecated interface.

Does this indicate that Filterscape development has come further than Uhbik?
If that's the case, I'd say it's a rather promising sign for the updates to come (considering the state of Uhbik 2.0).

Just bringing Filterscape up to share the same U-He system of presets and remembering our selected default GUI size will be much appreciated. It's a brilliant little suite, I've been playing with a lot again. Super stoked to see the update when it happens

Every Uhbik (alpha) now instantly crashes Ableton Live, Logic and Renoise upon closing the plugin window.

During tests with Ventura betas we noticed that Apple had some issues with displaying plugin GUIs.
They resolved them, but it's quite possible that this leads to these alphas not being compatible with Ventura.

thanks for this — yet another reason to avoid upgrading my apple hardware just yet

Apple officially released macOS Ventura Monday, October 24. OSX 'Lucky Thirteen'
Some people IRL have been reporting conflicts with plenty other plug-ins that I don't use or care about but the Uhbiks are plugins I do use, so this is a personal dealbreaker.
I'm happy to make do with what I have for a while longer. I figure the longer I can put off another new Apple hardware purchase the longer it should last. The way it's been going, I will not be surprised if they even have more new chips and models by then, and of course new incremental OS updates

I have the "first batch" M1 Macbook and am starting to hit the limit of its computational capacity with some tracks...
I can wait for the M3, though. Macbook Pro M3 Max should be fine by the time it arrives.

May I ask what you use? (genuine question)
I am mixing some 250 tracks of orchestral templates with an M1 Max laptop with 64 Ram. CPU is not even at 50% Which is crazy, my last computer was a custom build workstation with an 18core 36Thread CPU and 128GB ram, and this M1 Max laptop beats that.
I find myself having a hard time maxing out the CPU load with my M1 Max laptop unless I do something really crazy for the sake of a stress test, like running multiple instances of most CPU-demanding synths with the really long release, max polyphony, max voice stack, multiple audio rate modulations, all plugins running at max oversampling online...etc
Yeah, in that case, it can bring the knees down but otherwise, I find it almost impossible to max out with audio work with the M1Max CPU currently.

Ableton Live
Addictive Drums each hit having individual settings from which I've routed out
Kick
Snare
Hihat
Overhead
The drum sum has British Class A and Satin to smooth things over
Kick - Pro-C 2
And all have "Wasted Space" which is kinda low on CPU to widen each one separelly
Bass:
Phoscyon.
Enhanced by EdenWT800 and a Pro-C2 just there to sidechain when the kick hits
Then a coulpe of sounds from KNIFONIUM, Oddity3, TAL J8
plus a lot of Piano sounds from Addictive Keys. sparingly
And 3 Augmented Strings patches.
On the Master Channel I have Pulsar Massive, Satin and True Iron
That's it

Make sure to set you buffer size at 128 samples - crucial for the best M1 performance in Ableton LivesQeetz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 1:02 amAbleton Live
