Hello,

I want to build midi controller. I need it to control specific plugin. (It's my first time to use Arduino and i found some codes for my need.)

For example, i will create my virtual console with same analog modeled channelstrip. And controller will control only selected channel. (Think like Softube Console 1) So, it's easy to do any controller but i want to redesign front panel of my own controller and knob placements. Anyway...

I need 12 rotary encoders and 4 buttons.

So, which Arduino version should i use? Mega is possible to do that?

Thanks.

The Arduino itself is surely not the issue / bottleneck.

12 rotary encoders will need 24 pins (or 36 if you want button functionality per encoder too), so, yeah, probably a Mega, unless you want to start messing about with muxes.
