A Linux Musicians ongoing project - kind of fusion
This is an on-going multi track project started recently. It was decided that I could provide a base for development. In this second instance of the project I played around with a different approach (other versions are on also soundcloud currently) which puts in the light the guitar solo added by AJ Bruno, as well as his scratch and skank guitar riffs.
It is still very early and many things can change. The chord progression found in the previous version for instance is left out in this one. It can be added later.
Everything is only but quickly mixed at this stage, using Mixbus32C v6. There's some phase issue with the percussion at the moment, at times.
Enjoy.

Selfish Ledger (Collage-1) - electronica, samples
This is an updated mix (and updated title) of a piece created 3 years ago, to see what could be done having 3 years of mixing experience now. Unfortunately, the space on soundcloud is tight and this is a replacement of the original file. None of the tracks were modified, the idea consisting only of remixing, with what new plugins were added during that time.

Listened to Selfish Ledger, lovely tune, I like the groove and the dark atmosphere. Good use of samples.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Thanks. This piece was indeed created with samples and loops exclusively apart from the lead synth sound which was made using Discovery Pro.
Having more spare time I will remix another one from 3 years ago. It's neat to revisit pieces done a few years back, now armed so to speak with more mixing/audio knowledge while still trying not to add anything (very tempting). Only DAW faders are used along with whichever new plugins were acquired since then that could be put into service.
Cheers.

Monogatari 01 - acoustic instrumental, folk
This is a track from those ancient times, long ago where there was no Bitwig, no fancy plugins, no Mixbus. Recorded in Ardour, remastered today from the stereo track (not the original mix). Made of acoustic guitar and acoustic bass guitar, soundfonts were used for other sounds. Those were the times.
Note: The exercise was mostly about stereo processing using a found stereo track. Some guitar notes makes me cringe. If it were about revisting the piece I'd fish out the original multi track, of which I have no idea where it can be at the moment, and redo the guitar part. However the piece is kind of cute on its own as is and has a rustic feeling.

Thanks. Sometimes I create pieces along that way. Here's one you might like, done a year ago. I might remix it later on. Cheers.

Buta - remix 2020
Kind of prog rock, maybe. This is a remix of a piece from 3 years ago. It was fun remixing it since there are so many details, so many ways to process audio tracks.
