The stock Rhythmaker is a nice, (simple?) "percussion" type drum set, and what I like about it is that you're not faced with a ton of samples - each sound (at least this is how I've used it) has a wide range of abilities that takes the place of finding/using different samples. It really simplifies things, and the patterns are so easy to create. I also just spent about 45 minutes watching a good series of tutorials on Newscool, which is pretty mindboggling, but at least I'm not shooting in the dark with it now...as much.

I love the Boscomac ones, especially Retrobeat and Memory Stick 20.
