I love my little grand daughter, 2 years old. Kind of worried it may be too goofy and over sentimental, I don't know. Maybe i'm being to critical of my feelings. Anyway, here it is. Any mixing advice is cool too as I still have it in the daw to mix differently if I want.

Having done a couple of songs for my own grandkids I can see where your coming from.
You're right, it is a little cheesy but ..... that's the name of the game for this sort of stuff.
Overall it's a nice song. Well played and sung.
As for the mix (just my opinion as a 'phones listener) I feel it is a tad too hot.
If I were mixing this I would pull back the lead guitar and bass just a notch or two.
Otherwise ... good job.

mines 9 month old, sadly due to this lockdown it was last week before i saw her, since beginning of march...

anyway, the feelings are pretty much how i feel.
is it a bit cheesy? maybe, but its heartfelt and easy for her to understand at her age, shell hear granddad singing about how he loves her :)

i wish i could do something similar, think my stuff would give my granddaughter nightmares :hihi:

thanks for sharing :D

Welcome to the grandfather's topic !... ;-)

Mine is just a 18 months old boy... still trying to compose something musically easy enough to listen, with words understandable for this kind of ages (2 to 6-7 years old)... with personal neuronal explosions !... ;-)

Now... my personal opinion (only musically speaking + sound of your voice singing, because the english is not my natural language) concerning your goal... very good job Jeff !
and thanks for sharing.
