IIRC, Todd Rundgren made an entire album using this.

LOL 'You can if you live in a Hollywood Hacker Movie' - are you sure? I've done some weird stuff in Visual Studio.

All kinda Pro Desktop Musicians been making albums in Reason since it came out...Early versions were the best BEFORE VSTs nobody needed VSTs in Reason it did it all with great efficiency...
However in 90's Brian Eno made a couple albums using SSEYO Koan Pro...Generative music one & two-

Which begs to ask the question, "was the music being made with old DAW's better because better musicians and real artists were using those DAWs?'eLawnMust wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 9:44 pm All kinda Pro Desktop Musicians been making albums in Reason since it came out...Early versions were the best BEFORE VSTs nobody needed VSTs in Reason it did it all with great efficiency...

I hope no one put this up yet. Not an old DAW, but you be the judge:

Probably OT, but this looks fun and a lot like the older stuff, if a little busy.

True. But he actually made an entire album, 56 minutes of music with it. Most people with modern DAW can't finish a song.BrokenTrance wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 8:18 pmA relic of a DAW, though.MidnightRunner wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 8:15 pmIIRC, Todd Rundgren made an entire album using this.

Well, I just got through 'enhancing' my AXS tune using trakAx then realized that IT is vintage too...
I think it helped a bit with subtle volume shaping & not-so-subtle panning & a small bit of dynamics. About as much as you can do with a uniform stereo file-
https://soundcloud.com/waxing-and-wanin ... n-enhanced
trakAx version 2 is perpetual freeware...Drawable curves on the waveform for pan vol pitch (has zPlane engine) plus uses DX plugins which is great for me maybe not others...
Simple & effective & like 17 years old now-
Once installed the directory can be run portable from anywhere
Direct DL Here-

Info here-
https://web.archive.org/web/20080314075 ... /features/
These peeps were makin' the multi-track in hopes of selling loops...Looks like they made it to 2015. Version 3-UP was NOT FREE...However version 2 is fully free...

so is this the fault of the individual with the modern equipment, or the equipment's fault?MidnightRunner wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 8:44 pmTrue. because lots of people with modern daws do indeed finish whole tracks and albums, while lots don't.
not sure "most" is true.

That Sampler plugin that's open looks like fun (and very useful)

Well, I made a short Funk 'Jingle' in AXS Tracker last night-
https://alonetone.com/TalkOrBell/tracks/kernel-klink
I don't use soundclod anymore...Too many questions EVERYTIME I go there & email verification just to upload total bullshit.
Anyways I was creating a song template that had alot of samples & ended up being close to 50 MB in size which is 102 times the stock AXS directory size, bracing for a crash I realized that AXS has NEVER CRASHED on me, EVER!
I think everything I have ever used has crashed, maybe not old Reason 2.5 years ago but at any rate it's a sparkling aspect of this little tracker...

I loved the ones that were free, then were not. I remember that happening with Cool Edit, didn't it?
