Hello All...
Yes its true that I obsessed with Simon/Hallucinogen/Shpongle sounds. How can I not be considering how amazing they are?
So my new quest is the very vocal/formant sequence/arpeggio from 0:53-1:20...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7Rz9ECVwWc
Any tips on how to design this sound would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to rip him off, I want to know how its done so I can create better sounds with the timbre I hear in my head...
Thanks everyone

Simon's productions are my favorites as well.
For this one, you'll need the Ooh sample, sequence the melody, and insert a trance gate on the track (or make the edits by hand). There are several that could get the job done, but Tantra is my favorite. It also has a lot of programmable effects built in that should nail the overall effect.

It's the music that makes the science worthwhile.

I did similar things in Rapid with the included female choir samples and a trancegate.
But essentially what you need is female choir samples and a trance gate of any kind

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try
