I was aiming for something that sounds "haunting" and "beautiful" (at the same time).
Did I achieve that?

IMO, perhaps not haunting. Maybe beautiful and melancholic?

I don't know, but it was good :)

Agree somewhat with the poster above.
You could add more dissonance to make it more haunting (sus2,4, different bass note colour). Also, depends a lot on the visuals. If you are scoring a film, what are we seeing...
I liked it though. Well done.
