DSI Mopho, Madrona Labs Aalto, Linplug Spectral, Spitfire Audio Labs, field recordings.

I'm particularly proud of the break.

This is not a finished track, I would very much like to hear your thoughts.

Hey @.jon,

This is a nice start. I like the mood of the song. The beginning of the song is so chilled and mellow, the squelchy bass that comes in about .50 was a bit of surprise. You might get some nice contrast to what's already there by adding some deep pad bass at a couple of points.

Thanks for listening and for the excellent feedback :) yes, after listening it on other systems, it needs a few more elements.

you could add more elements for sure, but i wouldnt say "needs" them.
theres plenty of interesting timbres here already, a nice blend of the field versus studio stuff.
the mix could do with a touch of work, but as you said, its not finished.
the bass is nice, but could do with a little variation (again, not finished i know :hihi: )

if it was mine, id mix the music a little lower and bring up the field stuff, but im weird like that.
give the mix more motion than a static setting of levels, so the diff elements fade in and out, but never quite over powering.

whatever you choose, its a very interesting piece :tu:
look forward to how you polish it. and to follow up stuff 8)

Man oh man, this is so creative and makes me not want to post my simplistic guitar jamming anymore. I love that bass, and the strings, this is a beautiful bed to explore on top of. I wish I could do stuff like this.

pretty bare bones. it needs some kind of melody or lead..
the alternating chord change and the arps that follow it
barely carry it. its a start tho...
