Some ambient modular musings,

As the title says, Eurorack and Sequential Pro 3, the Pro 3 is the Orchestral / Theramin
sounding stuff. Sorry it's incredibly long and winded...

Thanks for listening...

I dig it. Lots of interesting sounds.
A friend brought their Pro3 to my studio recently and I really enjoyed it. Enough modulation options to get really out there but the basic sound is huge too. I love that it has the tuned feedback from the Evolver.

Thanks justin!

I do really like the Pro 3, great sound and great fun! This track is mostly just playing with the Desmodus Versio. The intro is intended to sound like an old ship creaking on the sea, the sound of the waves is literally just me pressing the FSU button on the reverb. Fun stuff...

Thanks for listening!

-Cheers

nice creaky boards :tu:
ooh foghorn too, thats deep 8)
i like that bouncy sequence, does indeed have the kraftwerk vibe layzer mentions.
the longer notes reminiscent of space odyssey! also a bit of carpenter in there 8)
and the crashing waves :o which reverb? is that the dv?

as epic as the title, which im totally jealous of
id love to hear this kind of thing, done live in a big dark cavernous room, with a surround rig and a few projectors :band2:

epic!!!

@layzer Awesome! Thanks so much for listening :D

@vurt, yeah that's the dv, the only effect on the track.

The title is from a greater premise that chronicle's the exploits of an intelligent
extra-terrestrial mollusk as he travels around Byzantine Era Mesopotamia.
I may try to expand on that with some other stuff later on.

Anyway, thanks for listening and the nice comments :)

Lots of great effects and sounds on this. I like the creaky ship (like others have mentioned), and the bouncy synth. Like vurt says it would be great in a suitable cavern!
Well done! :)

Glad you liked it! I like trying to build the sound effects into the modular patch quite a lot.
If I can deliver the imagery I want through sound, then the story I want to tell is that much
better for it I think.

Thanks for listening :)

The dv is really cool imo, cant say how it compares to the erbeverb though.
I gather from what I've been reading the dv has better modulation options,
though it's clearly not meant to be a nice accurate sounding reverb, definitely
an extreme or exaggerated effect verb in the Desmodus Versio. :tu:

yeah theres definitely a different enough chatacter to what i heard here, that it would be additional rather than replacement.
and you cant have too many reverbs or delays, that is a fact! :hihi:
