Hi Guys
I submit to you my new tune, started as an excercise in using old school beatbox samples and early 80's sensibilities it morphed into a sweet, melancholic little number that's quite a departure from my recent stuff, any thoughts appreciated, as always!

cool retro vibe. you almost managed to capture that soft "from a cassette" sound.
i think the main e.piano @1:21 can use some EQ to make it sit better and Frantz
would prob say the vocals have too much verb. overall enjoyed.

Thanks Mr Layzer, appreciate the feedback! Yeah, LOT of reverb on the vocals I admit, wanted that ethereal floaty thang. The piano thing is more of a chunky lead to me that i wanted totally upfront. Thanks for the comments though.
cheers

alot of "tone" design of the sounds will always be a matter of personal
taste. i give Frantz lots of credit for taming my own reverbaddiction
that saved me from a disastrous overdose. it was a matter of balance that
i always preach about in here... the Goldilocks zone... not too much, not too little but juuuuust right. too much reverb just sounds fake and cheesey, especially when it lacks width.
shaping the level and tone of sounds ensures nothing sticks out like a sore thumb in your music. everything sounds even and how one expects it to sound naturally. i liked it. thats what really matters.
